Recently I've been working on a painting of a Koi pond for a friend's bathroom. I decided to separate the piece into three panels, each having a shared element with the last to move the piece forward. Each painting is on a 8x8 panel board.
To start each painting I used a detailed ink underpainting.

I then added the undertones in glazed oils.

Once the first layers dried the brighter colors were added finishing the piece. :)

That might sound overly simplified, however this process really just is that easy. Also fun! Once all the panels are completed I'll show show the rest.
